Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and PracticeTarot.com ("we", "us", or the "Service") governing your use of practicetarot.com and all related features. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

PracticeTarot.com is an educational platform for learning and practicing tarot reading. The Service includes interactive card lessons, guided practice readings, exercises and challenges, a personal reading journal, and AI-assisted feedback that evaluates your practice readings and offers coaching. Some features use artificial intelligence to generate content and feedback.

The Service is provided for educational, self-reflection, and entertainment purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind (see Section 8).

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Certain features require an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us promptly at team@practicetarot.com of any unauthorized use

Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

4. Plans, Payments, and Billing

Subscriptions

Paid subscription plans provide access to premium features and may include a monthly allowance of credits and usage limits (for example, on practice readings, hints, and evaluations) as described at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you agree that:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method will be charged until you cancel
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Included credits and usage allowances reset each billing period and do not carry over unless stated otherwise
  • We may change plan pricing or entitlements with at least 30 days notice; changes apply from your next billing period

Credits

Certain features consume credits, which may be included with a subscription or purchased separately. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by law. All payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

Free Tier Credits

Free tier users are eligible for complimentary credits on these terms:

  • Free users receive 1 credit every 3 days
  • Free credits do not accumulate — you can hold at most 1 free credit at a time
  • Free credit eligibility ends when you upgrade to a paid subscription
  • Free credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded
  • We may modify or discontinue the free credit program with reasonable notice

EU/UK Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. By purchasing digital content or services and requesting immediate access, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the digital service has been fully delivered or, for subscriptions, that any refund may be proportionally reduced for the service already provided. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property or other rights of others
  • Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or that sexualizes minors
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service without our written permission
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload the Service, or circumvent usage limits, credit mechanics, or access controls
  • Use the Service or its content to train machine-learning models
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its content without authorization

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited conduct.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service, such as journal entries, practice reading interpretations, and questions you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service — including sending your practice responses to our AI providers to generate feedback. We do not publish Your Content publicly.

You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights to submit it. You can delete journal entries at any time, and deleting your account removes Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, lessons, card interpretations, and functionality are owned by PracticeTarot.com or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. AI Content and Important Disclaimers

Lessons, readings, evaluations, and feedback are generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence. You understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent, and is provided for learning and entertainment purposes
  • The Service does not provide — and must not be relied on as a substitute for — medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters
  • Tarot readings do not predict the future and should not be the basis for significant life decisions
  • We are not liable for decisions you make based on content from the Service

If you are experiencing a crisis or thoughts of self-harm, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline rather than relying on the Service.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PracticeTarot.com and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and (b) USD $50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or, where applicable, death or personal injury.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, where required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your data. Upon termination for breach, unused credits are forfeited. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6–10 and 13) survive termination.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If a change to these Terms is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before the change takes effect.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live. Before bringing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at team@practicetarot.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute informally.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
