Advice position changes the grammar. In an outcome position, Death says something will end. As advice, it says end it. Read the instruction as a forecast and you will sit waiting for a change the card asked you to make.
The neighbor names the size of the ending. Beside the Ace of Pentacles, close the old setup because a solid new start is already on offer. Beside the Hanged Man, loosen your grip first; the ending comes easier once you stop fighting it.
Death as advice is not 'hurt someone to get it done.' A clean ending can be gentle. The card asks for finality, not cruelty. If your plan involves a dramatic exit, you may be holding Death and reading the Tower.
